Terms of Service

Effective June 1, 2026. These terms govern your use of MapMedic, account access, pilot applications, and analysis credits offered through checkout.

1. Who operates MapMedic

MapMedic is operated by an individual developer. Contact: g.luismazda@gmail.com. References to "MapMedic," "we," "us," or "our" mean this operator.

2. What MapMedic provides

MapMedic is AI-powered automotive datalog analysis software for informational troubleshooting support. The public analyzer may accept CSV, Excel, JSON, or text logs from multiple platforms when required channels map cleanly. Paid durable report delivery remains limited to validated supported evidence and may be narrower than the free analyzer.

MapMedic is a software tool that helps users review automotive datalog files and identify possible troubleshooting patterns. It does not modify vehicles, flash ECUs, sell tuning files, sell parts, provide emissions bypass/delete services, or perform mechanical repair work.

When checkout is available, one analysis credit covers:

MapMedic is a diagnostic aid only. Reports are informational only and should not be treated as professional mechanical, legal, emissions, or safety certification advice. Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicles comply with applicable laws and manufacturer requirements. It does not guarantee any specific diagnostic outcome. It does not replace a qualified automotive professional, engine builder, or safety inspection.

Support for additional platforms, file formats, engines, or exact work-order output is not promised unless MapMedic explicitly marks the uploaded log as supported. Proprietary/binary logs, short captures, missing-core-channel logs, and unsupported adapters may be rejected or limited to guidance.

3. AI output limitations

MapMedic uses AI language models to assist with interpretation. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading. No report constitutes professional engineering advice, a warranty, or a guarantee of safe operation. Reports may instruct you to stop data collection, gather additional data, or consult a qualified automotive professional; follow those instructions.

If a report contains output you believe is unsafe or incorrect, stop acting on it and contact g.luismazda@gmail.com immediately with the report ID. Reports flagged as unsafe output are eligible for a credit refund under Section 6.

4. Accounts and access

You must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person; do not share credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase credits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, attempt to abuse the credit system, or submit datalogs belonging to others without authorization.

5. Analysis credits and billing

Checkout is processed by Stripe after email sign-in when the server launch gate is available. The active Stripe key mode controls whether checkout is test validation or live billing, and the payment page should be reviewed before submitting any payment details.

Credit types

When a credit is consumed

One credit is consumed when MapMedic delivers a complete supported informational analysis report for a supported datalog. Non-AI input previews, basic deterministic checks, and before/after proof comparisons do not consume credits. Credits are debited atomically with report delivery; if delivery fails, no credit is consumed.

Subscription billing

Subscriptions bill monthly through Stripe. The next billing cycle begins on the same date each month. You may cancel at any time; your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period, after which no further charges occur and no new monthly credits are issued.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. MapMedic does not store payment card numbers. By purchasing credits you agree to Stripe's terms. Displayed prices are in USD and do not include taxes where applicable.

6. Refunds and disputes

General policy

All purchases are for digital software access or generated analysis reports. Reports are informational only and should not be treated as professional mechanical, legal, emissions, or safety certification advice. Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicles comply with applicable laws and manufacturer requirements.

An analysis credit is consumed when the report is delivered. Delivered reports are generally non-refundable because AI analysis has occurred and the result has been provided to you. This does not limit any refund right required by applicable law.

Eligible exceptions

You may request a refund or credit adjustment for:

Refund after consumed credits

If a full refund is issued after credits have been consumed, unused remaining credits are reversed and your account is paused for billing review. New diagnoses and checkout are unavailable during review. This is a fraud-prevention control, not a denial of your legal rights. Contact us to resolve the review as quickly as possible.

Partial refunds and disputes

Partial refunds and all card disputes (chargebacks) also trigger billing review. We preserve and review delivery evidence for all disputed reports. Initiating a dispute does not automatically invalidate delivered service; we respond to each dispute with documented evidence.

How to request a refund

Email g.luismazda@gmail.com with your account email, the report ID (if applicable), and the reason. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Intellectual property

The MapMedic software, AI models, diagnostic logic, and brand are owned by the operator. Nothing in these terms grants you a license to the underlying technology beyond what is necessary to receive the software service.

You retain ownership of your datalogs. By uploading a datalog you grant MapMedic a limited license to process it for the purpose of generating your diagnosis report. Datalog content is not shared with other users and is not used to train public AI models without separate written consent.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

MapMedic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any diagnosis will be accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. Use of any diagnosis output is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MapMedic's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid for the diagnosis credits directly at issue, or $50, whichever is greater. MapMedic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including damages arising from vehicle damage, engine failure, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from acting on a diagnosis report.

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing g.luismazda@gmail.com. Unused credits at account closure are non-refundable unless you are within a period that qualifies under Section 6.

We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or chargebacks without adequate factual basis. We will attempt to notify you before termination except where immediate action is required to prevent harm.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of MapMedic after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes affecting paid services will be communicated by email to account holders.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. For any dispute not resolved by email contact within 30 days, you and MapMedic agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered under the American Arbitration Association Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except for claims that qualify for small claims court. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
